Cape Horn Bridge from Quinn Mountain |

About Quinn Mountain After many years of working life, we retired to the peacefulness of the Columbia River Gorge where we share 40 lush, forested acres with our pets, farm animals, and Nature, including gardens, ponds, native plants, and a diverse population of wild creatures. We just couldn't sit still, so we remodeled our home, greatly expanded our gardens, and now devote much time to managing our forests for Douglas fir and hardwood production. Other projects included the creation of two beautifully appointed guest suites on the lower level. We also built an enclosed spa, created of herb and vegetable gardens, cut flower gardens, a restful Koi pond, and stream, and nature trails. |
We have also built an outdoor G-scale garden railroad, two greenhouses, and a small event building. We have made it through many challenging days...doing almost all the work ourselves. We now make our property available at no charge for gatherings of groups to which we belong, including WSU Water Shed Stewards/Clark County Clean Water volunteers, Rose City Garden Railroad Society, Skamania Garden Club, and Hardy Plant Society, and meetings. We enjoy officiating at weddings in the Columbia River Gorge, Washougal, Hood River, Camas, and Vancouver, Washington; and host a limited number of small, intimate weddings at Quinn Mountain that bring us stimulating company and lasting friendships. Life is good in the Columbia River Gorge and we are blessed to be here. |
